MUSEUM EXHIBIT
The exhibition celebrates the centennial of the Art Deco era, marking 100 years of design and architecture that began in Paris and spread worldwide. It highlights the parallels between Miami Beach and Mumbai, two nautical cities where Art Deco left a profound imprint, from defining their skylines to shaping their culture and style.
OCTOBER 10TH – DECEMBER 1ST
9 AM – 5 PM | ART DECO MUSEUM
From Ocean Drive to Marine Drive, this exhibition goes beyond architecture to reveal Art Deco’s influence across creative disciplines. Drawings, memorabilia, furniture, typography, and everyday objects highlight how Art Deco shaped modern design, graphic arts, and cultural life. This cross-disciplinary exhibition reflects the total design philosophy that defined the Art Deco movement.
Collaboration is at the heart of this curatorial effort. Developed jointly by Art Deco Alive!, Art Deco Mumbai Trust, and the Miami Design Preservation League, the exhibition reflects a commitment to shared authorship and inquiry. The goal is not to produce a definitive history but to open new perspectives on style, identity, and the built environment.
